So Much Change

New jobs,  Full Up Schedule!!!

I only have time to blog when I’m not doing loads of exciting things.  I’ve not been blogging much lately because I have been doing exciting things.

Amazing Song Share Last Week

Last Sunday we did the first hybrid song share with singers online and in person.  I was completely blown away by everyone, the standard, the joy of being with people all together and singing together.

Even as I write it I’m being asked for the videos to be shared and I confess I’ve not even looked at them yet.  Lola, remind me again and I’ll sort it but probably on the trian tomorrow….

New Things I’m Doing

I’m now a director of the British Voice Association (as well as being very active on the Education Working Party, new event to share very soon, headsup it’s about CCM, or microphone music and it’s the last weekend of November).

I start my new job at Leeds Conservatoire on Friday.  I am teaching on the Musical Theatre Course BA.  I’m about to pack my bad ready to travel up there tomorrow.  I’m so excited and it feels like the right time in my life for me to travel away for work again.   I’m teaching 1-2-1 singers and the first year Acting Through Song class.  I love, love, love that I’m teaching acting again.  It feels like combining what I’ve been doing for the last 15+ years with my roots in acting.  Apparently I’m now a Senior Lecturer, well I will be when I get the paperwork back to them.

I’m doing a lot of other things too*

My Books Are Closed – For Now

All of this means I’m really busy fitting in my 1-2-1 singers in Monday to Wednesday and Saturday.  I can’t teach weekday evenings really any more as I’m being mum taxi/cook on the evenings that I am at home.

So, for the first time in my life I’m not taking on any new students.

If you want to work with me get in touch and I’ll add you to a waiting list and work out what I can do to help in a week or so, when I have some headspace.

Pausing Group Classes and Handing Over My Beautiful Choirs

I’ve had to pause the online group classes.  I hope to find a way to continue to work with you guys in a group but for now I’m not sure what it is.

I’ve also handed over my choirs to another choir leader so for the first time in 13ish years I’m no currently running a choir.

Now back to working out what to pack and planning a scheme of work for the acting through song class that I’m teaching.

Singers I’m Currently Working With

If you are currently having lessons with me get your lessons booked asap.  I want to make sure that I continue to support you but you have to book the lessons.

You have access to the members page and your confirmation email

Don’t delay scheduling your lessons.

If there is a time that you can do each week let me know and I’ll secure that time for you. (If you do that you must give at least a weeks’ notice on any changes to that regular time).

Get in touch if you can’t find a time that works for you on my booking system.  (I’m away w/e of 9th October so I can’t fit anyone in then).

I hope to see you soon.

Please give me a little more time to respond to any contact, and do, as always, chase me up if I don’t respond within a day or so as I may have missed the message.

I hope to see you soon. *Other things I’m doing off the top of my head…. I’m buying a house, getting a divorce, being assessed for Adhd, responding to being diagnosed with MS and remembering how to have a lot of fun with my fabulous friends.  Oh and writing a new show because the songs just keep on appearing.
