Singing Teacher

Rebecca Schwarz

Estill CFP, LLCM, ALCM (TD), PG Dip (Acting)  BA (hons),                      BVA EdWP,

I can make you sing better.

Students often ask me if they can sing. I believe that everybody can sing and with my knowledge and experience we can work together to make you the best singer you can be now.

I have studied with diverse vocalists and teachers incorporating jazz; classical; musical theatre; rock; pop and gospel.

What each student wants from lessons is very different.

I have recently been called by Universal Records and the BBC to teach actors singers for them. I have taught the singer in the band wanting to be able to improve his tuning for recordings in the studio the Vicar who wanted to be able to sing all through his range without ever straining.  My students have ranged from the lead singer in a band with a massive contract and a major international star to the student who wanted to feel more confident when singing karaoke and a singer who really can’t sing a note in tune at all (and who eventually achieved her Musical Theatre Grade 3).  From the budding dance music vocalist who wants to be able to make her very clear voice sound more “dirty”, to the classical singer who had a lovely clear big voice but had no control of how to use it.

Whatever you want to achieve as a singer, I can help to get you there. I am happy to work with students who want to take singing exams and can work on any of the examining boards. All of my students, up to Grade 8, have passed their exams and the majority of my students gain distinctions.  At least two previous students of mine are now singing teachers.

I teach individuals and small groups from my studio in Alvechurch. I have also taught in various schools where  have been lucky enough to have roles as varied as being vocal coach on a production of “Grease” and running a choir of amazing singers.
